I have just joined this forum, just started taking interest in photography and learning on my own..

Need suggestions from all seniors on how will i improve.. Hope you are like my first pic.. Thanks...

Its a very interest area, thats for sure. Love the bamboo.

As for the image itself, the subject is not in focus, she is very blurry. For portraits, the person much be in sharp focus, specially the eyes.

Her shirt on the image right hand side is very white, pretty much blown out (loss of detail due to being too over exposed).

Watch the hands as well. All you have is bits of fingers sticking in there.
At least you applied the rule of thirds for some basic composition, nice job there. Many new people center the subject.
