Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Here are a couple of my favorite shots from my first roll of film through my Canon AE-1. I just got this camera a couple days ago and I'm totally new to photography so any tips, critiques, or comments are much appreciated. Everything is totally unedited. Just straight from Kodak Portra 400 to a CD (processing done at Walgreens). All shots were taken with a Canon 50mm 1:1.8 lens.

These are all really good! I especially like the one of the guitar. The second one looks a little soft or something but it seems to work with the subject.

The Fender is beautiful, subject and I also like the framing.

I'd say if you're as new to photography as you say, you're doing really well! Not much to offer c&c wise, but looking forward to more shots.

Thanks guys! This is the first camera I've owned. I've used my mom's old Kodak digital camera or her Canon DSLR if I ever needed decent pictures of anything (for eBay listings etc). So this feedback is nice to keep me pursing the hobby. Time to buy more film (:

Would you recommend any post-processing on any of the photos? Or perhaps a higher-quality film processor?

In the bottom right hand corner of the 3rd picture there is a wired speckled thing... These were in a couple more of the pictures I got. I'm assuming this was an issue with the film processing and not the camera itself. Anyone have any insight on this?

I agree, if it was a camera issue you'd most likely see them in all shots. Unfortunately the good places are shrinking up. The best part of film photography for me was learning the ins and outs of developing film. But, if you do start developing your own film, start in B&W and learn tonality. That helped so much with my photos. Plus, only have 24 chances and not being able to see it after I shoot.

If this your first roll with a Manual Focus, film camera, then you're doing a good job!!
