my first shot with my new 55-200 lens

Well that's good I was hoping so. Like to see some more photos with the lens beyond the test stages.

yeah, ill go out with it tomorrow before work and try to get some real quality shots with it, besides the zoom i can still pretty much do what i was able to do with my kit lens, so i hope this 55-200 will convince me to not return it

Gotcha. 18-55 was my kit lens and I got a 75-300 as my second one. I love that combination. I'm really glad that I got that combination because the 75-300 gives me decent moon and star shots. If you do return that lens I would go for something with more distance.

TBH, both lenses you have are "kit lenses" by most standards.

yeah, i love the 18-55 for closer wider shots for portraits and whatnot, that 70-300 was a little bit more money than what i was willing to spend, im fine with the 55-200 for now, ive had the camera for 3 years i thought it was time for something new
