My first shots for C&C macro.

Hi, I am shooting with my gf's D50 here, 18-55 kit lens. I'd love to hear what you have to say, which one is your favorite and how can I improve?

Not a bad idea, something was bothering me, I think it has to do with the rainbow of colors on the flower. Looks like you are using a blush light, and the flower is white and purple? I dont like the Rainbow effect

doesn't really do much for me...find a different subject. flowers tend to be boring unless you sprayed the flower with water and get a close up of a water drop reflection...an idea?

thanks for the ideas. The flower is actually purple fringed and white in the center. I focused the light from my reef tank metal halide and held the flower under it.

I think they are really good. I am partial to the first one. The left side of the second one is not as sharp as the middle, which I would like to see. But either way, they are all good.
