What's new

My gear

Tim, gear is nothing, it is just a piece of black plastic and glass with some stupid buttons, if it does not bring you great images. So remember: gear is nothing, images are everything :)

I have been playing with the lenses for the last day or two, I have a few decent macro shots, and I just snapped a few good shots of the moon with my 70-300. I will post a few I uploaded earlier today

sorry, these weren't all uploaded yet

I also have not done any editing on any of these yet

Why don't you add a nice little Nikon 200-400 !

$80??!!!!!! Why are the kits I'm looking at $1500 and $2800??!!!

Paul C. Buff - The Genius Package

Paul C. Buff - The Portrait Studio Package

I looked at this $2,800 "portrait package" and was very disappointed at the price, and even more disappointed by the LACK of finesse tools. This is designed to blast large, wide swaths of light all over hell...this kit is ridiculous as a portraiture setup. It's entirely ONE-dimensional and will allow you to light like a noob would approach everything: by just BLASTING massive amounts of light all over the shooting area. For $2800 + this looks to me to be an incredibly high-profit item for the Buff company. And it's missing multiple types of light shaping tools. Just amazingly odd junk.
