I like no1 because of the distraction. There is a story and that's always great in a photo. The story you could guess, when you don't even know Ron personally. You can see enough to make you wonder and have an educated guess at.

#1 is very nice. I think the only thing I would look at is not centered enough vertically. Keep up the good work

Sorry Photo Guy but why are you asking everyone to centre everything? Not having a pop, but nearly all your C&C asks people to centre everything. JUst want to understand why you are asking for this. Centreing the subject doesn't always work.

Nice shots, Ron! I too prefer #1 for composition... although I think the lighting is better in #3. (I think someone else said that too?). Neat story about the picture.. and the rum!
