my favourite time to take these shots is in the winter when there is some snow on the ground, but it got real warm and it is melting rapidly. Supposed to hit +11°C in a few days!

and here's one that shows the city in its greater context. A 4-shot panorama, so the original is quite large. I could do a better job of this one. I don't really like the few houses in the foreground. I could probably find a better spot, but it will have to wait until we get more snow... maybe next year even.

I let Flickr resize them and it looked like crap.

Not as pretty and you have to click but the pics look way better now and that's what counts

I like them both, but I really enjoy studying the panorama. I love seeing how towns settle themselves in such interesting landscapes like that. It looks beautiful there.

#2 = #4, but clicking on the attached thumbnails gives better resolution. It also looks sharper when you go to the attached thumbnails. Not usually noticeable but with all the point sources of light, it really needs to be sharp.
