My Jewish pen

As I stated in past posts photography is not my ownly passion watches and fountain pens are among my weaknesses too.
This is my most charished pen and as amazing as this pen is the story behind it is even more amazing so let me tell you this story (the short version).
On a Foutain Pen Forum that I used to be very active I mentioned once about this pen I dream and was my grail pen but I cant afford it (cost more then Nikon D800).
Few weeks later I get a package in the mail I open it and there is the pen in the package.
A lady which I only emailed few times read my comment and sent it to me, yes a gift just like that with no expectation to get anything back just sent it.
Well this is one pen I will never every sell and will always cherish, this lady is by far a better person then me.
Oh and all you people with their heads in the gutter let me tell you she doesnt even live in North America she is by far smarter and more educated them most of us (definitly more then me) and she is simply a very special soul which I espire some day to reach that level!!!

As for the pictures I worked all morning on them took tons of pictures and these 4 are what I chose, I worked on them with my software and please excuse me if its not the best pics you ever saw.
I am working hard on improving myself and hope you will simply enjoy this pen, the story and the pictures

Story on the pen ?
No story I love the design of this pen, I used to collect Visconti limited edition pens and being jewish obviously added to the charm of the pen for me.
And why is it so expensive ?
Well while its expensive its not out of the ordinary for high end fountain pens like Montblanc Patron Of the Art Limited Edition line.
So I cant tell you why its so expensive simply that it is, there is no special metal like gold on it or anything else to make it worht this much.

My first modern fountain pen was a Waterman but I never owned a Cross FP, somehow its not a favorite among FP fans even though some like them and use them. Not sure why as they are good FPs.

I sent a fellow on another forum (years ago) A Rolex "RED SEA" Submariner, anonymously. He wasn't a collector, he just passed through the site inquiring about any decent dive watch that he could bet his life on. Seeing as I am a collector and you can't take it with you, I searched around on dive forums until I identified him and his location. For all the stuff I've pulled down here on Earth, perhaps when I stand before the man to answer up, he'll take a few things into consideration. If given enough warning, I would like to give it all away to deserving folk before it's too late.

When you say expensive...

Mine were in the $30 range. Which is cheap relative to most fountain pens that run in the hundreds. I like the Waterman best of the two but it is showing wear and tear from years of use and I got a good price on the cross. I can see why some don't care for the cross that well.

do you do any calligraphy with it?

Pix, I can do some, but don't have the calligraphy nibs for either. I just like the way they write and it keeps people from taking my pens. (Most people don't like to write with them.)

Ahh caligraphy now there is a painful subject
So first

Caligraphy needs a Super Flex nib, no modern maker makes this type of nibs.
Waterman among others used to make these nibs and you can find them in pen forums or ebay.
So its simply impossible to do serious work of caligraphy with this pen its nib is simply too hard.
Secondly since English is my second language I can only print so I never could do caligraphy......sorry guys
