My jpegs not readable when I put them on thumbdrive for developing.. ??

Hi!

I have a Canon G12 and I have it set for JPEG, and when I download my pictures onto my PC with the Zoombrowser software and put them into folders on my desktop (saving them as JPEGS) they are indeed JPEGS (I check by clicking on 'properties'), but whenever I put them on a thumb drive to get them developed at Costco or wherever they aren't visible.. I can upload them to websites, etc. no problem.. But no other way.. Bit annoying, especially as alot of them won't accept images larger than 8mb.

Any idea what setting I have to change?

Also, every single time I save an image to a folder I get a "Some shooting information may be lost from saved image" warning.. What is that about?

Did you try another thumb drive... maybe the one you have has been corruped and needs reformatting.

No, unless it has the Zoombrowser EX, etc. software installed.

OS is win 7.

It sounds like an issue with the format or with the way Zoombrowser (I'm not familiar with it at all) is handling things. Is your PC able to "see" the camera or the memory card without Zoombrowser (it may show up as a drive)? If so, try to copy them to your PC/thumb drive with Windows Explorer, then see if they're accessible from another machine.
