Hi everyone,

Critique is requested. Please rate and comment on my latest photos. Been experimenting with Motion-Blur, Depth of Field and testing my Telephoto lens. So a bit of a mixture.

Some photos have been massively over-exposed and attempted to be corrected using software. But I don't think it's done much good. Anyway, over to you.

Good experiments Steve. I think shot #2, of the large balls and the guy photographing them, is a good photo in its own right. Again, good experiments!

Did you intentionally overexpose and try to pull back?

I agree that the second shot is the most appealing. I am wondering what could be done with the out of focus ball on the far left, really pulls my eye.

I think the 3rd and 4th could use some brightening/contrast adjustments, they're kind of dull and flat,

love the one with the guy taking a picture of the balls though.

No it wasn't intentional over-exposure. It was accidental but I tried to rectify it using Iphoto. But I think I only made it worse.

With the 4th, I tried to pan my shot and keep the boat in focus with the background blurred. Which I managed to do, but ended up over-exposing my shot and the water came out very white. So it was hard to define what was the water or bottom of the boat.

And with the 3rd, I took a shot just as the sunlight came blazing through the clouds behind the tree. So I think that's a case of bad timing.

I agree they are flat and dull, I'm just not sure how to get the right levels of exposure, contrast etc when editing in software.

Thanks for the comments of the 2nd. I took so loads of that shot experimenting with depth of field. So I've got shots where the ball on the left is in focus whilst the other two are blurred. But the guy taking a photo at the same time just added something extra.

Do you mean in a distracting way?
