Maverick was born 2 weeks ago on April 1st, these were taken at 7 days. What a sleepy head. My first crack at Newborn.

Did you do the first one as a composite? (if not please stop and read up on newborn safety and composite shots). It has some weird red lighting on his right, and they could both benefit from some post process cleaning, but he looks like a sweetie.

I hope I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but when shooting newborns safety is absolutely priority #1. Make sure you read a LOT (and have full insurance) before playing with babies.

I told his mom that if at any time it became unsafe or she felt uncomfortable with it we would abandon the try. This was a merge of 3 images from different sets that were taken in quick sequence. I do understand your concern but I believe we both had this same discusion with others here on same threads. Weeeze on same team. The one I will not do is the hanging from the limb cheese cloth image. I have received lots of oooooohs and awwwwwws from these but I can see I can do better the 2nd time around. I don't consider myself a baby photographer but it was kinda fun when the mom became all watery eyed upon seeing the shot.
