Daily Face is about the intriguing quality of the human face. Balster van Duijn, a documentary filmmaker, likes to study and photograph the human character. These daily portraits focus on human frailty and the facial expressions that give someone character.

Not my style. I get being gritty and real, but you've even managed to make some pretty people look unattractive. Not saying it's bad photography, just not my thing

I dunno, i can see its place in the world. The gritty detail that I'm requested to help cover in most shots is prominently displayed here. I kind of dig that. I'm a fan.

I don't care for your site. It took me a minute to figure out how to view another image, and they are slow loading. After three images I left. I want to see more, but I wish I could view thumbnail links to view images that strike me. I am all about minimalism, but your site may be too minimal. I'm also viewing on an iPad, if that makes difference.

Again, I like what I saw, want to see more, but I became frustrated with the slowness.

Love the idea! and the faces, but like bitter jeweler said its a bit slow and the images are really noisy and rough, why is that?

its film based post processing and a bit of sharpening... I guess it's a matter of taste..

Balster, it was a much better experience on my laptop. On a mobile device, the "next" arrow doesn't show up. Just a heads up.
