My One-A-Week Project for 2012

Hey everyone. I've always been a fan of photography but haven't taken the time to really invest myself in it until recently. I figured that a one-a-week project would encourage me to push my boundaries and grow while still having time for all of those other important things in life. I do not currently own a DSLR but hope to get one by summer. For now, I have a Panasonic Lumix ZS-5 that does a surprisingly good job for a point and shoot. I'm a big fan of black and white, signs, lettering, panaromics, sports, and important landmarks. I hope that you enjoy this thread and I look forward to learning more from all of you.

Week 1
I was in Philadelphia with my girlfriend the other day and we passed a building that had this sign out front. I loved the lettering and how it was illuminated so I took a quick shot of it. When I brought up the shot on my computer and began to play around with it a bit, I saw the potential of it and really loved the finished product.

Ha. That's kind of ironic. I just started one in my new Illinoisphotograher forum. There are so many new photog's that try the 30 day challenge or 365 challenge that end of losing interest. I thought a 52 photo's would be a good one, too.
