I went to CO for my sisters wedding. I was a groomsmen so I didn't get a lot of pictures of all the guys.

15! i love number 15!

The white balance is consistent and skin tones are nice, which is always a good thing in people shots. Sharpness is also very good.

I love the shadow and highlight tones in #1, but maybe a bit too much black space on the bottom?

Is that you in #13? Looking good in the tux! :)

Overall, good job!

That is me in #13. I was not the photographer and she had a very small blackdrop that barely covered the shots. I was trying very hard not to be a nusance to her and still get some shots just for practice sake. I didn't like how all the guy's black tuxes basically disapeared with the black backdrop but oh well.

I hear ya, it is tough to make black tuxes stand out against black bg's, unless you use a kicker light. Did you just have one light to work with?

Why didn't you have your family look at you for some shots?

Yeah just had one.

because I was not the photographer and didn't want to get in the photographes way in any way... I wanted to have full control and not have to worry to wait for them to take my picture. So I just got candids.

The main thing lacking in them all was eye contact, which you explained that you were off to the side. Otherwise, the exposure and everything is very nice.

I like #1 and #19

i have to agree. I wish my shots would come out like that. Very "clean" IMO.

Great pics, but the first one... the dark, black & white church looks very weird for a wedding. Actually it looks more like Dark Side material if you get me. Personally i'd keep b&w for portraits!

Picking b&w shots at weddings is generally tricky, because you are usually trying to convey a rather specific mood, which tends to look better in colour. Some shots just beg for b&w (what a wonderful digital world we live in), others like your first are really unsuitable for it.

Tasmaster, Thanks for the input. I didn't get that impression at all from the first one but I can see were you could see that. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments guys!

Eh! You're in 13 yourself, aren't you?
How did you get there?

I like her expression in 12 - she has the cutest of dimples in that one.
