Trona, Ca pinnacles. Death Valley (near badwater) and Rhyolite, NV (yeah i know its not in Cali but it was close!)

Really nice images--awesome color. I was under the impression the buildings in Rhyolite were fenced off now.

the only one is was the train station at the top of the hill and the bottle house. everything else is pretty much free game.

neat shots, You even been to the Salton Sea? Desert Shores? Some cool old abandoned hotels and homes there that are fun to shoot

no but that sounds awesome. Im going to have to look it up.

Next summer I'll be going to Bodie ghost town, Mono Lake and Yosemite, which will be nice. I havent been there since i was a kid.

Google Map the Salton sea....be advised, its not a pleasant place. Its eerie and kinda freaky at times. Areas are deserted so you can shoot whatever you want wherever you want. Just take a friend along so you have someone with you. Always made me nervous going to Gary, Ind. with $5,000 in camera gear on my shoulder to shoot the old churches and buildings with all the creepy characters roaming around.
