Snerd I am at ISO 6400 to get 1/640 - 1/1000 at f/4. My close friend is the athletic trainer for one of the teams, so I don't have much trouble there.

Wow! 6400! I'm askeered of those iso's, but hear so many say it's not a problem. I wish my grandson was playing this year, I don't have any sports to shoot now.

My FF just rocks at high ISO, whereas my crop is maxxed out at about 1600

Astro, there's not much left to recover there. I pushed the shadow slider to about 80-90 on these. I didn't take them to PSE 11 and Nik collection.

I was too but I shot a full game at 12,800 my first week to get 1/640 of a second. I've decided that I'll just shoot about 1/500 and keep it at 6400 from now on.
