Would it be possible to add a ND filter to a bridge camera (P100)? Assuming a could find a way to hold the filter steady in front of the lense would it in theory work?

Sure, if you could line it up and hold steady enough. I would think it would still work to some degree. Not sure if it would temporarily mess up anything like metering or focus on the camera or anything like that.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I think i might buy a cheap set from ebay to play with. I know you get what you pay for but seems daft paying alot for something that doesnt work.

I'll post some results if it works out ;)

It will work fine; I normally hand-hold my ND-Grads ('cause I'm too lazy to attach the filter holder). Even a hard grad has enough of a transition that unless you're reallllllly shakey it won't be a problem. This holder will work well if you use gel-type filters.

Thanks, ive ordered some cheap ones of ebay to give it a go. I think i'll just hold them rather than get a holder because i will at some point buy a dslr.

And heres me thinking i was asking a stupid question, expecting responses like 'Of course you cant!!, Dont be ridiculous!!' ha ha
