Need a good loaction for pictures

Hi everyone i live in long island, new york and want to take some pictures of my car and friends cars but not sure where there is a good place to go around here. If anyone knows a good place please let me know. im open to anything. also let me know what time of the day these places are good to go at and also if you guys want to come out and join me let me know

I would head to anyone of the beaches or out to the east end. If your out east you have everything from rocky terrain, vineyards, to beaches to windmills. If your looking for someplace close, wherever you are you couldn't be more than 20 minutes from the sound, bay or ocean.

My profile pic was taken at Captree State Park on the Fire Island Inlet where I love to go to take pics. It may still be closed as it was an equipment staging area for repairs from Hurricane Sandy for the barrier islands but should be open soon with the weather getting better.

I live in Lindenhurst and go to captree all the time. I was hoping for some place different that maybe I didn't know about that someone else does. but thanks for your suggestions

do what I do and just get in your car and take a drive. find some spots. see where the light is and where you want it to be to figure out the best time to shoot there. should be tons of spots to shoot in new york.

I hear ya, I find myself either at Captree or now Oak Beach quite often and a change of scenery would be nice. I would think like 12 said, take a ride, I would head to North Shore, maybe out near Port Jeff or east where you would have a much rockier shoreline and different feel then that south shore. That or up around Bayville and Oyster Bay.
