Need advice on DIY Lighting

Thank you all for your suggestions! I have been reading and practicing a lot. Getting quicker at changing controls, and setting components. I am proud of myself for stopping were I was, and taking the last 6 months to learn as much as possible. I read post and look at photos on here almost everyday, and learn something each time I get on. I never knew when I first got my DSLR, that there was so much to learn. Hope others' learn from my mistake and educated themself first.
