need help to make this more interesting

take a look at this pic i did for a friend today. what can i do in photoshop thats relatively easy to understand that will make this picture more visceral and popping

Contrast adjustment. I'd say curves, but that's not as straightforward as contrast. Better yet, use a levels adjustment layer.

Levels, Contrast, slight saturation, Gaussian blur at 50% or so wiht a horrible cutout job on the hair lol
