Need help with Cowboy Studios radio slaves.

Does anybody know a "trick" for tightening down these radio slaves to the cold shoe so the speedlight doesn't come crashing down on the floor?

The space between the bottom of the unit and the tightening thread (the ring with teeth to tighten and loosen the slave from the cold shoe) is so narrow that I can't get my fingers in between the unit and the cold shoe to tighten it to the cold shoe.

I tried to use a flat head screwdriver to cinch it down but that slipped off the teeth and I almost stabbed myself.

Suggestions?

Never mind. I got it figured out.
