Need more zooooom:)

It is... but don't get all torn up about the lens not being as fast (about not having as large of maximum aperture) as the more expensive lenses, since the vibration reduction lets you use lower shutter speeds... you are talking about portraits and street scenes, not fast action photography, so slower shutter speeds are usable.

Remember, this is a $250 lens we are talking about here... obviously you can buy bigger/faster/better... but that costs more money, and this is a great starter lens. I have shot one, the quality is quite good.
 
Thanks, here is another ? for you. What do you think about Adobe Photoshop Elements 5? Any good?
 
If you are a "Pro" , or thinking of going there in the very near future (A target date and everything). You will need PhotoShop. It is industry standard and VERY powerful.
If not, then Elements is superb. To be honest with you, pretty much the only thing that I got with PhotoShop that you don't with Elements was a bill 10 times the size....
