Got my fiance/me a nikon 50mm f/1.8 for her d90 and havnt had a chance to really go anywhere so i shot the dogs at 1.8 for fun just did some red eye reduction and unsharpmask used the pop up flash and a envelope to bounce the flash off the side of the house still learning techniques and the composition, tried to get a whole dog and not just a head but the 2 dogs wont leave my side when i have a camera in my hands... i think i would have liked the shot better at a smaller aperture but wanted to see what 1.8 was like and for the price of the lens i am uber happy with the lens
Love the blue in his eyes. Nice job bouncing the flash, straight on pop-up flash is horridly flat and harsh. I have the same problem as you shooting my dogs with my nifty-fifty, so I'll forgive the cut off ears
aye aye, eyes are oof took some better pictures when it was nice and sunny out and so much easier to focus
