My dad just gave me his old Nikon EM. It has a Sigma multi-coated lens (f=32mm-80mm). Annyone think this is a good camera to start of with?

My sister had one. As I recall it has aperture priority exposure control with no manual override, but it is very small and well built. They are getting on a bit now, but that doesn't mean anything if it has been looked after. If you had asked for recommendations for a beginners camera on this forum then I'd bet no one would have said Nikon EM, but I think it's fine. Get some film in there and let us see how you get on!
