new from Tampa, digging a deep hole

hello all,

i decided to go into goodwill, a place im not very familiar with, my wife however loves it. and was looking around when i saw a crap load of camera's. all 35mm. most were nothing special, but one intrigued me, a 60-ish year old camera, i love old, unique, type things, and i do like taking pictures, so i googled it on my phone to see if it wasw of worth, i walked out of goodwill with a Yashica minister-D, paid $5 for it, after 2 hours of searching i found that every camera shop that used to be in town, is no more. realize i know NOTHING about camera's at this point, so i decide to go to walgreens, get film, and see if it atleast works, it does, film developed, slight, minor issue, but thats for later. anyway, next day i found my self at goodwill again, just to see, and i see another camera, $15, not nearly as old, but still looks fun, a Pentax P30t (seems to work, but i have not gone trough a roll yet, so i cant say for sure til i get it finished and developed). got it as well..... so here i am, two 35mm cameras, and the only thing i know is what i have read in the 6 hours of time i have had on google and youtube. lol. but i am having fun, and feel its a hobby i will stick with and enjoy, i wont be buying anything else for a while as im broke now. lol. but hobbies need not be rushed anyway. im a college student with a wife, enough said right? im considering signing up for a photography class for next semester, see how big a hole i can dig.


on a side note, when your used to digital, basically never needed to buy anything after the initial purchase of camera and SDHC, using 35mm is expensive, i think i see a bulk loader in my future, maybe even a dark room in a couple years if i stick with this, 4 rolls of film: $8 (on sale) getting just the neg. and a cd for 2 rolls:$13 (6.50 each), thats $21, more then i paid for both cameras! lol.



hers a couple pics of each, remember, i know nothing about photography (soon to change i hope) so the pics may not be of the quality your used to, not to mention i took the pics with my phone so they could be easily uploaded.... and yes, they could use a good cleaning, especially the yashica, but im not touching them with anything til i read how to do it properly.
