My New Kit arrived today and I am stoked to get out and take some pictures but I still cant figure out the telephoto and wide angle lenses are they regular lenses or attach to another lense they look small?

Congrats. Have fun and share with us.

The other "lenses" you speak of thread onto the end of your lens. Most likely the 18-55mm. I wouldn't expect the greatest results with them, but some have created interesting photos.

I was thinking this summer putting the macro on my 300MM zoom and going out trying to get a picture of a gnats ass lol

Congratulations - new gear is always good! If you're referring to the two Ultimax lenses pictured, they are thread-on attachments that are meant to attach to the front filter threads of your regular lens. I would strongly recommend returning them as their optical quality is going to be poor at best. Your 18-55 is a good mid-range lens, and you will be better off in the long run to save up for proper lenses.

they came with the kit so no big deal maybe have some fun with them see what kind of trouble I can get into

I really dont know what a proper lense is though the 100MM true macro I want costs more than my kit lol

The best thing you can do is learn to use the kit you bought; over time you will figure out if you want to shoot long (telephoto) as in birds, animals, etc, short (wide-angle) such as landscapes, macro, or... once you know where your interest(s) lie, work toward that. Buying gear for the sake of buying gear and without a specific need normally results in two things: (1) an empty wallet; and (2) a bunch of stuff gathering dust on a shelf somewhere.

I am into all that Landscape, Nature Photos, and Macro

Why are the boxes for the filters as large as a real lens.

One thing I seem to be having a problem with is finding where to turn on the grid on the silly thing. I like the grid it makes it easier to set up my shots on the fly I skimmed through the reference manual but didnt see anything though may of missed it.
