New Lens Decision...(nikon) Prime vs. Zoom

I am wanting to sell my current lenses and get some better glass. I never use my telephoto lens, and I have been a little disapointed in my Sigma (previously having the 17-55 2.8)

I am trying to decide between.....

24-70mm 2.8

or

85mm 1.8 & 20mm 2.8 (and keep my 50mm 1.8)

I can say the Nikoin 24-70 is as sharp as alot of primes I have used in the past.
I am very impressed with it.

personal choice I suppose.... you won't go wrong with either...

the 24-70 is razor sharp.... you have the 70-300 and this would give you seamless range....

i dunno... i'd get the 24-70... keep the 50mm 1.8 and most likely save up for the 85 1.4.....

oh... maybe pick up a 12-24 or 10-20 for the wide end....

i prefer a small zoom range convenience over primes in most applications but love low aperture primes as well....
