New lens sigma 150-500 vs 50-500 os

i have been reading many reviews for these two lenses and i cant find any that tell me what i want to know. Has anyone happen to own both of these two lenses and would happen to have pictures to see the diffrence of quality at a wide open. Thanks

FWIW, for the price points of the lenses, I can't image why anyone would own both. Perhaps there's a web site that has tested both and you can compare them side-by-side.

FWIW, I usually hear the 150-500 is the sharper of the two. Go to p-base and search both lenses. You'll get hundreds of pics to look at.

LensTip.com - lens review, lenses reviews, lens specification - Lenstip.com and Welcome to Photozone! are where I go for technical lens reviews.. lenstip is probably a better bet for sigma, photozone is mostly canon and nikon.

Here is where I go to check out lens samples, although the downside is there is the occasional person who sucks and posts garbage no matter which lens they use.

I have the 150-500.

I like it a lot. If you do not have a mono pod yet, you will for sure want one with this lens!!

If you are shooting Canon, I would go for the 400mm f/5.6 instead. You can get them used for around $1000. Its a fixed length but razor sharp and fast. Its also much lighter than those two lenses. If you want the lens for length, then you are going to use it mostly at its long end anyway.
