Sunday was my birthday so I got myself a little gift. I always wanted a Boxer and now I have one. He is 7 weeks old and I named him Guinness Cole! Oh He was too tired for a photo shoot so I could only get a few snaps. (I actually had to hold his head up in number one)

Mole, White boxers make up about 1/4 of the breed. They are actually fawn boxers but they gene for whit hair is dominant, They arent supposed to be bred because they have a genetic defect that makes them Deaf very young. enough of that... I will post more pictures of him when he is actually awake later!

He is so freakin' cute. I love boxers and in fact just got a tattoo of one last night. I have 1.5 (the half is because I have a boxer/doberman mix) and will have at least one forever. They are a breed like no other. Is your boy deaf? Have you ever heard of boxerworld?

No he isn't deaf yet but it could still happen. I have raised 2 Rotties and this is my first Boxer. The only thing about them is how stubborn they are, but thats why they are boxers huh? I have heard of Boxer world but I havent looked into it, I have been on the forum over at www.boxer-dog.org

Actually, if he was going to be deaf for "white reasons" he would already be deaf. Being deaf has to do with the blood suply to the cochlea from the lack of pigmentation (being white.) If he isn't deaf now, he won't go deaf later on due to being white. I checked out that link you posted and it seems to be ok but Boxerworld (BW) definately has more activity. We have close to 44,000 memeber at BW, it is a very active forum, where you can get answers to almost anything and if it hasn't already been discussed, you ask and it will be answered very quickly. I am not sure if registration is open right now but if it isn't you can still read the forums.

P.S. I posted a question on BW to ask about deafness in white pups and got an answer quickly, that is what is written above. If you want you can go to BW and read the thread and see exaclty what the mod wrote, the thread is under health issues and questions, titled "deaf puppy?"

bytch_mynickname, Thanks for the Information. I got that same info not long ago and let me tell you how much of a relief it is, even if he was deaf I wouldn't give him up for anything! I'm not messing around with that other forum I am on, it's all porn! I am going to check out BW asap. You should put up some pictures of your kids, I would like to see them.

Brady as a itty bitty little guy:

Brady with my first boxer, "Tossie." She passed away a little over a year ago at almost 13 years old. We grew up together, she and her mother are the ones who made me fall in love with boxers.

Oh yea, I noticed a lot of porn on that website too. I am sure you will like BW.
