So far...I like it!
The only thing I have found that I don't like is the round avatars.

Their trying to duplicate Apple on the rounded corner images.

I was surprised. I don't like the 1-1/2 paragraph spacing for each line. But hey, it's still free !!

Thanks to Sharon, I've found my way to the place where the cool kids are congregating. Shouldn't we be agitating for user-selectable skins? Or at least some control over the colour scheme?

Well, since the posts are in a grey block, some text colors probably should be changed.

We believe that Google may have penalized us for some broken elements in the old skin. So we are trying a new skin that we believe will not be penalized. At least that is the goal.

THIS says it all. Doesn't matter if we like it, doesn't matter if it's user-friendly, if it's good for showing photos or not. After all it's "just a new skin," as I've been told. But if Google don't like, well…all HAIL King Google.

Evidently, we shouldn't even care; "it's just a new skin, not the end of the world" is what I was told. Never mind that the "new skin" made me think my computer was about to crash, lol.

what signature texts ?
.... ooh .. that one.

One thing I realize with older age ... text on my iphone on certain pages where they do grey on white ... what ever happened to black on white for texts. Dark colors for alot of contrast. When I was in the 20s I took a Screen development class. They emphasized designs for more mature folk. All based on good contrast. I can't read grey on white well or really thin fonts nowadays.

Someone mentioned they didn't like the new font but I for one love love LOVE it. Hate sans serif fonts.

As for the rest of it? Not really sure yet...It IS quite bright. But I also like blue.

That was me. Something was changed after that and it is easier to read, not sure if the font itself was changed or if it was adding the shaded background or what - there seems to be less white and it's better as a whole than the original new version from earlier today.

We've been taking the input in this thread and making many small changes on the fly. A few more still to come.

I really like the new design actually. The only niggle I have is the font used for posts. Always prefer reading sans-serif fonts on the web.
