Hello. I'm new to the forum. I just bought a 500cm and I'm getting to know the camera & lenses (80 & 150). I've been shooting a Mamiya RZ67, but I'm new to the 500cm. I see that the brightness changes in the viewer based on where you set the lens aperture (bright at 2.8 and darker at f11, etc.). in the 500cm. The view through the RZ67 doesn't change based on lens aperture. Is that normal and do you find it better to focus while at 2.8 while the screen is brighter and then adjust the f stop? Or is a focusing screen issue? This was using the 80mm and a 42165 focusing screen. Looks nice and bright at 2.8, but dark at other apertures. THANKS!

Sounds like the automatic diaphragm is not staying wide-open.

Thanks very much for the super fast reply! That worked, and now I can proceed to go out and make other mistakes. :) Very excited to shoot this Hasselblad.

Another favorite mistake is remembering to keep the shutter release in until the shutter has finished opening and closing when using long exposure times so you don't close the blinds too soon.
