New need advice

hey im new and want to get into photography really sports. I think im gonna save for a nikon d50 is this a good idea? also wants a good starter lens for sports and everything else.

Saving for an SLR is a good idea, especially if you want to specialise in something like sports photography as you can buy specific lenses which will help a lot!
