New Orleans Photo Spots?

Hey all.. going to New Orleans and staying on bourbon street for a family wedding next month. Does anyone have any recommendations for good spots to take photos? I plan to sneak away for sunrise shots and some street photography.. maybe even try to link up with a model for a TFP shoot if I can find someone.

General tips for things to see and do are also welcome!

Jazz and Beignets! who needs to go take pictures. Remind yourself how to turn off any pop up flashes and or the Red light for low light auto focus - it amazes me how some people forget this and really piss off the musicians. Not even sure you can photograph in Preservation Hall any more (must see) as well as eat at Mother's Restaurant.

If it was me I would take a roll of gaff tape and tape over any and all LCD screens and or Led lights on your camera and if your camera has it, silent shooting mode, for any of jazz clubs.
