I had some play with ps and managed to get quite nice results (I think)

Nice portraits! They look very natural! Maybe just a tiny bit overexposed.

The eyes dont look real. I cant tell exactly what you did but I know you did something to them. They look over sharpened and overly white.

Yup, you over-whitened the eyes a bit. Maybe it is just me but the lower right corner of their irises look a little hacked off. You lightened your daughters irises a little too much. Also, did you smooth their skin? It seems a bit much if you did. Maybe it just seems that way because their eyes are so sharp.
