New SB600 vs Used SB800?

I thought the SB 700 was supposed to be better than the SB600? I was waiting for it to arrive.

Not the 1st time they released something that makes no sense.
I spend over $450 on sb900 b/c needed to replace a dead beyond repair sb800 and everytime I work w/it I'm waiting for it to do something stupid (like stop firing - as it happened before).
