Hello all, I recently bought my first Canon camera, the rebel t3i. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good lens adapters that would allow me to use my SMC Pentax-A 1:2 50mm lens on my t3i? I found this one on amazon but wasn't sure if it would work or not. I was also skeptical about the $9.99 price tag (Seems cheap).

Amazon.com: Pentax PK Lens to Canon EOS EF Mount Adapter: Camera & Photo

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

In looking at the adapter, it's obvious it is merely a machined metal ring. Meaning, of course, absolutely everything will have to be done manually....metering, focus, f-stop.

The lens is full-manual-only, as well. There is no adapter possible that can/will make it 'automatic' like your new camera is.

In all honesty, I have to ask...why not get a Canon EF mount (EF or EF-S) lens to start with, and let the electronics of your new camera do what they are designed to do?
