Put it on top of the egg and slice under it, or is there something inside the dome which slices on the twist of the plunger looking handle?

I haven't had these kind of eggs (with soldiers) in a longgggg time!!! And you've just made me crave them!

The handle is spring loaded.

You pull it up and release it and the "shock" cracks a perfect circle, most of the time

The membrane is still intact so you do need to pry the top off...

Love soft boiled eggs but hate the hassle of opening them cleanly. Chomping down on shell bits isn't appetizing..
