Love the eyes in #2! Looks
Like a different dog.

The first one is a great example of what long lenses do - her face looks squashed front-to-back. The second one is quite nice, I think it would be stronger if the dog's face was slightly higher in the frame, but the placement left-to-right is spot on -- she's looking across the frame in the approved (by Formal Composition Nerds) fashion. Her eyes look slightly insane.

if she could tell you opinions, she would have asked you to remove her first image would have remained proud about the second
Me too love the second
cute one :D

I hope you don't mind, I cropped the second shot a bit, and sharpened it some and adjusted the exposure some, these are things I see that would make it better IMO, then I have one with a slight vignette to focus on her face, and one without it, you have it set that is ok to edit your work. I hope you like it,

#1 - Squint, squint. The cure? Have the face shaded (backlit by the Sun), then use flash to fill and balance the exposure.

OP,

Try to remember that no one else has your love for your dog/cat/puppy/child/wife/girlfriend.
Take pictures, let them sit for a few days, then be very critical about focus, color, composition and the post only your best pictures.
That way all the comments will tell you things you don't know.
