Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Whats up everyone just joined this forum. I have always been interested in photography and now want to take it to the next level. Any suggestions on what cameras I should get and lens etc.. Experience wise I took photography 4 years in high school but thinking about taking a college course just to refresh my memory about the basics.

I want a Fuji x100

I want to shoot sports stuff, do weddings and models.

What do you guys think of this pic. My buddy told me he had it done for his wedding so wanted to give it a shot.

It's a standard photo that's been done many many times before with a ring placed on top of a religious text. There's nothing wrong with the photo, except it lacks sharpness and there's much light falloff on the edge of the frame.

so what type of camera do you recommend for what I want to shoot?

How would I fix the pic

Well, I would suggest starting small. You should not under any circumstances go out and buy a camera, and then start shooting weddings. I feel like the Canon entry level lineup has more value than the Nikon entry level. I shoot Canon, so you can call me biased if you want to.

I wouldnt even think about doing anytype of big event right now. I want a camera that eventually when Im ready to do things im able to use..

Yes I want to do weddings

I've heard really good things about the Nikon D7000 and if you can't afford that the Nikon D3100 has decent reviews. I'm using a D3000 for my beginner camera which has been reviewed to be Nikon's crappiest DSLR. Eventually I plan to buy the D7000. I suppose it depends on what you can afford.

Find a friend who's getting hitched (or a friend of a friend...) offer to take photos alongside whomever they've hired (for free) get some experience, and hire gear to do it. Do the same with sports and whatever other fields you're interested it.

I recommend Nikon (which one depends on your budget) - but I guess if you are mainly doing weddings a Canon would suffice ;)

Yeah jeeze. A Canon will BARELY suffice. I don't know how Annie Leibovitz even got the shutter to actuate on the Obama Family portrait. Its amazing how Pete Souza shoots presidential images with a 5D2, when most people can't even get a lens mounted because Canons are so backwards.
