#1. Half the dog looks over exposed while the other looks under exposed and the color is quite dull. It also looks a tad OOF (might just be my computer screen???). Also, there is a very busy background that distracts from your cute puppy.

#2. I love the effect of the sun through the trees but I'm just not seeing a strong subject. Also, the whole sky seems blown out (not sure how to fix this problem while still getting the details of the tree and the sun though).

#3. All the flowers are way over exposed. There are no details in any of them.

Welcome to the forum!

P.S. Next time, post the pictures directly to your thread...a lot of people won't click the links to look at them...

Welcome to the boards...what camera you end up getting?

EXIF says he's on a Canon 550D, probably with the kit 18-55.

Nice dog.

The exposure looks fine to me on (1), otherwise I'd echo the comments that jmtonkin made; also I think there was a more striking composition to be had there with (3).

Welcome to the forum :-)

i think you did quite well for your beginnings.. your dog is adorable.. and i like the flowers..

Thanks for your comments and advice, I'l keep practicing and posting pictures :)
