Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I just bought a t2i kit with some of the basics to get my feet wet with photography. I wanted a camera that I could learn with and pass down to my girlfriend when I am ready for a different body. That being said, I have had the camera for almost two weeks and am getting familiar with the settings and my own style as a wannabe photographer. I still don't have the photographers eye for compo, exposure etc. Here are a few pictures that I took in the last week so feel free to tear them apart and let me know what I can work on. Thanks.

They are actually pretty decent.

No, they're pretty nice. I particularly like the abstract ones, 1 and 3. I can't seem to take a good abstract photo.

If you want more feedback, generally posting one or two images which you have more specific questions about is helpful.

If you really want replies, start a thread about 'what lens to buy' or something.

1. Pretty colors, but I don't really know what it is, so it doesn't interest me.
2&3. Cool textures. The DOF is a little too shallow I think, and the composition is iffy. I'm not sure what you were trying to show with these.
4. Best of the bunch, like it!
5. Too busy, don't know what to look at.

not bad at all...maybe just a little late in the day for many members.

def some nice stuff here.

1. not totally digging the vignette, but some nice poppy colors for sure.
2 and 3. look like exercises in shallow DOF, albeit good ones. i like the cow, but find the tag a bit distracting.
4. youve captured a nice drop! good comp too...not dead center.
5. not bad. i like the tangle and layers of the, what....dogwood?

overall, some nice shots!
keep shooting and keep learning!

Thanks for the feedback so far. I know there is a lot to learn and the best way for me is hands on. I just got my 50mm 1.8 two days ago and I am still trying to get a feel for the kit lens and the 50mm lens.

if i can offer a tidbit of advice on that 50. stray from 1.8 once in awhile

i find that at 2.8-3.5 it's just awesome. its nice to have the 1.8 but snt always the best ap ;)

definitely not bad and I'd venture to say you actually have a good eye and probably some type of experience...your shots are composed just fine ;)

I will definitely stray away from sticking on 1.8 on the 50mm (such a noob move, right).

Also, thanks for all of the other feedback. I am going to see what I can come up with in the next couple of days and just submit one or two pictures for some C&C. Thanks.
