New Zealand Targa Rally

After a huge photo slump, I hit the road for a few days to follow this event, here are a couple of the grabs I got:

Had a huge amount of fun snapping these, but always open to comments and critique. I'm wanting to do more motorsport stuff, so tips are welcome.

I would love to go shoot an event like this. Great job on snapping the photos. I especially like the one of the WRX.

I'm so jealous. I used to race in time trials and haven't had the funds to do it for the past few years. Competing in a targa rally would be amazing.

Thanks, the Targa is my favourite event of the year. Next year the WRC has some NZ stages, so I can't wait to cash in on some time off and swing by those!

Yeah, I'd love to sometime. I have a project in the garage I'm hoping to get into some hill climbs, but yeah - money slows it down a lot.

Haha I couldn't see it comming from where I was, I just heard a lot of excitement then saw that!

The first one is my fav.
You can do so much with that.

Try making black and white and doing a dramatic dodge and burn, maybe a little vignette.

Hmmm cheers, I didn't consider that. Just did a quickie play in Photoshop with Duotones =

And a couple of others I didn't get around to:

^ This is the BMW I have shots of crashing after they got it back on the road to finish the event. Good effort, and check out the 'camber' on that rear left wheel.
