Newbi needing equiptment help.

Hello all,
Ok, I'm going to start taking my photography classes and I have a little knowledge with the camera, BUT, I was wondering.. What is the best starter camera I could get. I like taking black and whites, but I dont like wasting film, so should I just get a digital with a memory card? AHh, help!

if u really love b&w , i would suggest u buy a film camera...
anyway, if u want a digital , u can adjust the photos in photoshop
