Newbie: first camera help

I have a coolpix, but it doesnt seem to work well for what I need. I take a lot of pictures off my horse's back, of wild life. And off my horse I take pictures of horses, collector cars, nature. But I can never get a clear picture of anything when either I'm moving or the object is moving. I'm looking for a camera 300 or under that would be good for all that. Thanks.
