TPF Noob!
Hey all!
A little about me. I'm 23 and work as a Paramedic in a smaller community in the interior of BC. I'm interested in nearly anything outdoors, but mostly the things that bring me closer to nature. I love to hike to the tops of hills and land gaze. I'm an avid fly-fisher and am also into archery.
Anyway.... I'm wanting to get into Photography, obviously
I took a Photo class back in highschool, with the pinhole cameras 35mm work and developing and I thought it was the best class ever. I adopted my dads old Nikon and started burning rolls on random stuff and actually snapping a few good shots. Now, 6 years later, I find myself wanting to get back into it.
My dad keeps telling me that I should sell his old Nikon, and put the money towards a new DSLR, because he thinks I would be great.
I have some pictures of my dads Nikon, and would like some input as to what model it is exactly, and what it's worth (I doubt it's worth much... but ya never know... my photo teacher thought it was a great camera).... If you guys (and gals) would point me in the right direction as to what sub-section to post the pictures of the camera, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'll also be looking for advice on what a good beginner DSLR would be, that would also be a good platform for when I get more into it and want different/better accessories.
