It looks like you tried to use a fill flash on that last photo but it makes her skin look really weird.... Was that on camera?

I have a Canon Rebel T1i. The only lenses I have are the one that cam with the camera and a 50mm f/1.8

Yes. I don't have any other flash.

I think you need to warm up the pictures a little more. They are all on the cool end and it makes the skin look funky. Also in the third one there is a bright pink stripe going through the background that is very distracting as well as a harsh shadow from an on camera flash. They are nice and you definitely have the basics down. Keep working though.

I agree there are some nice shots here, but the PPing kinda kills 'em for me. I know desat is an "in" style right now, ditto with the blur layer, and they work from time to time on some shots, but on most of your shots I'd rather see them true to life. Just some sharpening, color correction, contrast adjustment, just the basics.

Sorry, but I'm callin shenanigans on that. Her eyes have definitely been touched up. Not saying they aren't a beautiful color, but to say you didn't PP her eyes at all is a lie lol.

No one's whites of their eyes look like that straight out of camera, first thing I said when seeing this was "whoa, went a lil overboard on the eye post"
