Hi! I'm a newbie that loves B & W. I have no formal training, just do what I think is beautiful. Would love to know what someone thinks of some of my photos. C & C welcome!

Thats really cool, Is it CN black and white film? It seems to have more depth than the stuff I was developing myself.

Edit* Or is it digital? I'm just used to BW being film.

It is just digital. Took it with a Nikon D50 and an 18-55mm lens

kherman - use the img tag to imbed your photo - there's a box on the page you posted that has the syntax on the right side.

it is a nice photo, tho the focus is slightly off in my eyes

to me, it seems that the focus is on the lips. usually, and i think in this case it would work better, you try to get the eyes in sharp focus.
other then that, i think its a good shot. good lighting, pp, etc

Cute kid. Love the facial expression. I would have to agree that the eyes are out of focus. You always want to make sure the eyes are in focus for portraits.
