Newbie with new Panasonic FZ82 - first shots

Just got this and keep in mind I am a complete novice. Wanted mainly for backyard birding and etc so went for the zoom. Hoping to dive in and learn more. Price couldn't be beat from what I could tell! First time trying to upload photos too so hope this works! Any advice is most welcome...
