Hello all. I am new to this so please bear with me. I am currently using a Kodak Z8612 IS. I liked the fact that it was user friendly. Made a DVD last year for my daughter's fastpitch team which turned out pretty good. Hoping to branch out a little more this year as all the girls loved the one last year. I am basically a 39 y/o beginner. Am not well versed in the technical aspect of photography, so I'm hoping to gain some knowledge from the forums.

For all beginners, a highly recommended book is Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. See if they have it at your library, or pick it up from amazon. One of the best beginner reads I have read
