Good choices. IIRC the legs linked are in the same lineage as the 3011... just several generations younger. The ball is a good choice in that it has both a quick release plate and tension adjustment.

Anyone ever used "SLIK" tripod ?

I've used a Slik U212 from time to time. Very good, perhaps not great tripod. IMO it will hold more than the mfg's recommended max load.

I've also used the $600.00 Pro 4 once. That's a serious piece of hardware but perhaps overkill for the average shooter.
